In collaboration with the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka and the Asian Chess Federation, the Super Knights Chess Academy organized the Super Knights International Rating Chess Championship 2023. Tournament was held at the National Youth Council from 01st to 05th of April 2023. With the participation of National top-rated players including Mercantile, Corporate sector players and over 400 players in total around the Country and 4 overseas players.
Tournament consisted of 10 rounds & S Sivathanujan won the championship of the event while Dhanushka Bandara & CM Chandana Wijekoon clinched the 2nd & 3rd places respectively. Super Knights International Rating Blitz Chess Championship 2023 also happened parallelly & CM Chandana Wijekoon won the championship with a score of 7.5 out of 8.
